Kwabene Brown
Coach Kwabene (KB) Brown has been coaching track and field at Westside High School since 1998. This is his first-year coaching Cross Country . Coach Brown attended Westside his 9th and 10th grade year and graduated from Wade Hampton High school. Coach Brown attended Clemson University where he was a letterman in track and field.
In 2018, he was inducted into the Westside Hall Of Fame for
his accomplishments as one of the Nation's Top Hurdle Coaches. On the state
level, he has produced 34 National Champions, 42 Outdoor All-Americans and 17
Region High School Champions and as a team he has had 15 region titles and more
than a dozen State individual Champions.
In 2019, Coach KB Brown was inducted into South Carolinas Track
and Field Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame for being known as the top
Hurdles Coach in The state of South Carolina.
Coach KB Brown and his wife Latisha Brown live in Anderson SC. He
has a daughter ( Sagirah) who is a graduate of Clemson University, a son who is
a graduate of Coastal Carolina ( Hasani) and is now stationed in Italy (Air
Force) and a younger son (Micah) who is currently attending Clemson University.
